Homemade Playdough
This is one of the best and easiest homemade playdough recipes. You don’t need a whole lot of time or ingredients for this and it will create hours of fun for your little ones. Most of the ingredients are easily found at home, or easy to find at the shop and it only takes a few minutes to make from start to end. The kids can even help which will be fun for them too. The best bit is you can choose what color you like and even put glitter in it to make it magical!
You will need
1 cup of plain all purpose flour
½ cup salt
2 tablespoons of cream of tartar
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Food coloring of your choice
1 cup of water (with food coloring added into it)
Saucepan
Step 1
Place all ingredients in a large sized saucepan. Put this over a low heat on the stove top. Stir until the dough forms a ball and all the ingredients are mixed in well.
Step 2
Allow to cool, then knead the dough until it is smooth.
Step 3
Your homemade playdough is ready for hours of fun. Store in an airtight container or ziplock bag when finished playing with it to keep it from drying out and hardening.
